Canvas Print of Newport Transporter Bridge close up, showing the gondola. Built in 1906, the Grade 1 listed structure is a transporter bridge that crosses the River Usk in Newport, South East Wales. It’s one of less that 10 transporter bridges that are still in use worldwide. The bridge is also open as a tourist attraction, visitors can climb the towers and walk across the upper deck for a small charge.
